Cloud infrastructure is a useful foundation, but it should not unnecessarily dictate every part of a product. Municipal Centre is engineering provider-neutral application boundaries so the core product can be evaluated across different hosting environments.
Our current development environments use Cloudflare. Microsoft Azure portability validation is underway, including containerized application hosting, PostgreSQL and private object storage. AWS is a planned deployment target. Customer-managed infrastructure is a longer-term architecture direction.
These statuses matter. A deployment target is not the same as a validated operating environment. We will distinguish implemented capabilities, work under validation and future plans as the platform develops.
